Jacquelyn Kay Linebarger, age 68, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born November 2, 1953, in Davenport, Iowa, as the daughter of Howard and Ethel Mesecher.
Jacque had a lifelong love of music and was passionate about teaching. Her first career was as a high school choir director in San Jose, Calif., where she met her husband David. They later moved to Tahlequah, Okla., where they raised their two daughters while Jacque worked in Human Resources at Reasors, a local grocery chain. She accepted a position in Human Resources at the University of Arkansas in 2015, and worked as the Director of Talent Development and Special Projects before retiring in September of 2021.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, David Linebarger; two daughters, Emily and Anne Linebarger; and two brothers, Don and Tom Mesecher. Jacque and David had a second family at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Tahlequah, where they were longtime members.
