In Memory of

Loras Lynn McClimon passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016, in Mesa, Arizona surrounded by family.

Loras was born June 24, 1953 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Maurice and Magdalene McClimon. He was married to Debra Burger on August 7th, 1982 in Davenport.

He was a graduate of Davenport Central High School and Phoenix Gateway Community College. He served in the United States Air Force from 1972-1975.

Loras formerly worked in facilities maintenance for the City of Mesa. After his early retirement he enjoyed summers travelling the country and worked Spring Training for the Chicago Cubs at Sloan Park.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.

Survivors include daughters, Katie Marie and Andrea Lynn; son-in-law Derrick Garland; grandchildren, Robert Craig and Elijah William; brothers and sisters-in-law Michael and Ruth McClimon, Fortuna, CA., Charles Patrick (Woody) McClimon, Phoenix, Robert Justin (Judd) and Patty McClimon, Santa Barbara, CA., Judy McClimon, Davenport, IA., Joseph and Laura McClimon, Mt. Vernon, WA.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Debra, parents Maurice and Magdalene McClimon, and brother John David McClimon.

Visitation begins 5 p.m. Tuesday at Lakeshore Mortuary in Mesa.

Services for Loras will be held at 11:00 a.m on Wednesday, July 20th at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Tempe. Burial will be immediately following at the City of Mesa Cemetery.
