Kevin O’Dette 05/20/2005 PELHAM, N.H. — Kevin L. O’Dette, of Pelham, N.H., formerly of Davenport, died Friday, May 13, 2005, at his home in Pelham after a long battle with cancer. Celebration of Life services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. The family will greet visitors from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. He was born on May 8, 1954, in Davenport, the son of Gloria (Burch) O’Dette of Davenport and his late father Don Sr., who founded and ran the Bix Jazz Festival in Iowa. He graduated from Central High School, Davenport, with the class of 1972. Kevin worked for Local No. 309 Laborer’s Union for over 25 years before his retirement due to his illness. In 2002, he moved to Pelham while working on the Canadian gas pipeline between Methuen and Beverly for Murphy Brothers Construction. He especially enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, attending motor cycle rallies, playing guitar and golf. Kevin is survived by his wife, Donna (LaGrange-Smith), of Pelham; his mother, Gloria, of Davenport; step-children, Mark (Marlene) Smith, of Bow, N.H., and Nicole Smith, of Canton, Ill.; twin sister, Kathryn (David) Huff, of Davenport; brothers, Rick (Beth) O’Dette, of Davenport, and Don O’Dette Jr., of Bettendorf; step-grandchildren, Justin, Angelina, Evan, Dylan; and several nieces; grandnephews; aunts; uncles; and close friends
